Kids Planet Tong, re-registered in 2022, provides childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years old, operating Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm, all year round, with the exception of bank holidays. The nursery received a Good rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 13th August 2024.
Children are warmly welcomed by staff each day, helping them settle quickly and engage in play with their friends. Children at Kids Planet Tong are confident and eager to share their learning, often discussing their favourite books and demonstrating activities.
The nursery fosters strong community connections through various outings and visits from local community helpers like the police and dentists. Staff are trained to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, focusing on developing their social skills and communication, and leaders effectively use funding to enhance these learning experiences.
Children have opportunities for creative expression through painting and other media, and engage in water and sand play to develop hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills essential for early writing. The nursery also promotes early mathematical understanding by encouraging children to think about size and capacity during play.
Leaders prioritise breaking down barriers to education, ensuring all children gain the necessary skills for their next stage of learning, and have created an ethos that values diversity and kindness. Staff effectively use children's home languages to ensure their needs are met.
Parents commend the staff for being caring, supportive, kind, and genuinely invested in children's well-being. The nursery maintains excellent partnerships with parents, providing resources like a book library and toothbrushing kits to support learning and development at home.

Both of my daughters go to this nursery, they absolutely love it. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They have amazing bonds with my children. The management are great too, always willing to chat and ensure you are happy. The meals are nutritious and delicious. They have lots of opportunities for you to go in whether it be a parent interaction or parents evening. They will always listen to your concerns and support you. They go on trips and my girls have been very happy about this. They have amazing set ups and help the children develop well. Would highly recommend.
Read on GoogleOverall amazing nursery my child attends 3 times a week and he always well cared for, nurtured and happy. Couldn’t be any more happy with all the staff. They are welcoming, lovely and always so understanding of every situation. Thankyou
Read on GoogleMy daughter left in tears, she was wanting to place my 1yr old grandson there for 4 days a week. All fine until they were told he has cystic fibrosis. To say I'm disgusted is an understatement, they don't deserve my grandson or our money.
Read on GoogleI would recommend this nursery to anyone who is looking for childcare, the staff are extremely courteous and professional, and the children love being there!
