Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff identify where children may need additional support and use effective strategies to help close any gaps in their learning. This enables all children, including children who receive funding, to make good progress from their starting points.

Outdoor space

Routines include lots of outdoor play. Children enjoy plenty of fun ways to be active and keep fit. For example, they visit a local park and participate in organised sports and movement sessions.

EAL / language support

Where children are still developing their speech, staff simplify language and use signs and picture cards to help with communication. Consequently, children, including children who speak English as an additional language, learn to express themselves confidently.

A really wonderful nursery that runs throughout the year apart from inset days and bank holidays. Very supportive team from the ground staff all the way to the managers. My daughter is happy here and is well supported. Outdoor play area and regular activities, additional extras such as language classes, sports, wild fangs, ballet etc(some with additional fees as they are run by external companies). We're so glad we chose this nursery.

I can't recommend Leo's Den highly enough. It's a lovely independent nursery in the heart of SE1 with caring, highly-trained staff who absolutely loved and looked after my 20-month-old for the ten months she was there. It's clean, meals and snacks are excellent, and it offers a wide range of activities including day trips to the park, the local library, and to do some recycling. We were miserable to have to pull her out when we moved house. My toddler's conversation came on leaps and bounds and her social interaction is down to the staff. You'd be lucky to get a spot here.

Leo's Den is really fantastic, my daughter loves it here and waves us happily goodbye when ever we drop her off for the day. The team are very professional and friendly and constantly doing engaging, fun and educational activities with the children. Regular update is given and there is also a great web cam where you can watch your children having fun through out the day. I highly recommend Leos Den Nursery.

I am very happy with this nursery. My older daughter went there and my younger daughter is attending it at the moment, the second year. The staff is absolutely brilliant, I can see that they love looking after children and teaching them new things. When I pick them up in the afternoon, they always report on how they spent the day, what they ate, etc. The opening hours are perfect too for working parents from 7.30am - 6pm (if I am running late I can even pick them up by 6.30pm), another great thing is that it is open even during half term. They do all sorts of activities, have a little garden where they can do all sorts of things, or they go the park. My daughter loves going there, sometimes she wants to go there even during weekend. Also they have nice food, my daughter always eats everything. Just before Christmas they always organise nice afternoon where are also invited parents. The children can meet Santa Claus and get some presents, there is nice food, the children do a little performance. They did a beautiful thing last week for Mother`s day where mums could enjoy a cup of tea with some cakes. Also the fees are affordable comparing with other nurseries in the area.

A very happy place for my 14months old son, nice staff, good comms with parents and a lovely atmosphere. Leo’s it’s like a big family, kids are well treated and supported. Parents are kept up to date through an app, pictures and daily communication. Yes the place itself it’s a bit loud maybe - but I wouldn’t consider a massive issue, at least not after 6months.
