SEND provision
Children who require additional support are identified and effective interventions are put in place, ensuring that they continue to make sustained and purposeful progress. The special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) is knowledgeable and demonstrates a strong commitment to her role. Staff, alongside the SENDCo, work effectively in partnership with parents and other professionals to ensure that children receive targeted support plans that help them to make effective progress.
Outdoor space
Staff support children to lead a healthy lifestyle. They are provided with ample opportunities to be physically active, to play outdoors and explore the natural environment.

My daughter has been attending Litcham Childcare for almost two years , she has come on leaps and bounds, made great friendships and her confidence has grown. The staff are fantastic and are always available to talk to should I need. My daughter enjoys going everyday and always comes out with a smile on her face and tells me about her day, she speaks very highly of all staff members. Litcham Childcare has ensured my daughter is ready to go to reception and go above and beyond to provide the best care.

My none verbal daughter had such a fantastic start to her school life with the support of staff at Litcham Childcare! In a world that was uncertain to us as a family, we as parents read up on what was going on and self taught ourselves how to be a parent to a child with SEN needs. In the scary times we were facing, with the support of childcare, we have made it through to now being able to understand things clearer. We want to thank you all for the amazing jobs that you do and have continued to do with each of our children in your care. When there are no rule books on our children, we as parents have to step up and parent hard, the fact you all step up and help us with that is amazing! 100% recommend and appreciate you all!

Seems good at first glance but with the new management children's needs are not being met or supported and outright lies are being told to parents. This school follow set rules and don't accommodate to what each child actually needs which is proven to be damaging to children. I found out my child didn't even have a present key worker in the room so when asked about how my child was doing they didn't even know! Communication was terrible, I just got told she was fine every pick up. Then later found out this was far from the truth. Luckily my child communicates well and so was able to tell me what was going on behind closed doors. If you're child is resisting going in....always ask.....why? Sad I had to move her, but she's absolutely thriving now. After speaking to other settings, lots of children have been moved from Litcham. An example of the care given here is 'How am I supposed to know about SEN? We're not trained in that'. 'We don't label kids'. I could go on all day!

The staff are amazing and are so good at communicating about your child. My son absolutely loves going, he comes out every time with a big smile on his face and always tells me about what he’s been doing. Would 100% recommend.

My son attended here for 2 years, in this time we had some issues due to my son being autistic (undiagnosed at his time at LC) - but in the end we had regular communication and plans to help my son with his struggles. Jenny especially was so fantastic and so supportive in everything for my son (and for me!!) A lovely village nursery - highly recommend 🤩
