Little Acorns is a wonderful term-time nursery. All of the staff are so friendly and helpful and they are amazing with the kids. There are endless crafty activities set up each day, and they get the little ones involved in making and preparing snacks regularly. They take them out on trips around Whitley Bay and do some lovely outdoor forest school stuff in the Station Masters Garden. I don't know how they manage it, but my little one always comes home absolutely spotless no matter what she's been making / painting / eating! There is excellent communication with home and I love seeing photos of what my little one is up to throughout the day. Thank you Little Acorns!
Read on GoogleBeing a new parent wanting to get back into work, I was nervous about picking a nursery for my son to go to - I knew of Little Acorns from seeing the pupils outside doing all sorts of crafty activities, and they always looked so happy and engaged! I can say it was the best decision to send my son here, in 6 months I’ve seen his confidence, dexterity and communication skills flourish. It’s a treat every week to get any crafts he’s done that day, as well as a detailed report. From his end of year report, it was very clear that all members of staff knew my son well, and supported in his development, as well as his amazing key worker, who he has a close bond with. We can’t wait for him to start an extra day in September!
Read on GoogleLittle acorns is a fantastic nursery, my son loves going there- they have a soft play inside- and the love and care they show him is wonderful. They do great activities with them too including lots trips in the local area. I would recommend this nursery!
Read on GoogleOur daughter has been a Little Acorn since September. In that time she has developed wonderful relationships with the staff and other children. She enjoys her days with the team and always comes home smiling. The well planned activities capture her attention and she has adored learning how to bake and prepare meals. This is a home from home environment where the staff love and care for the children just like they are their own. I thoroughly recommend Little Acorns and look forward to seeing the new nursery grow. Well done team!
Read on GoogleI couldn’t recommend Little Acorns enough. My son is really happy there and does a huge range of different activities. The staff look after the children as if they are all their own (as some of them are!) and the atmosphere there is just so positive. There is excellent communication between nursery and home and it’s lovely to get pictures of what my boy is up to. This is definitely a place where children can be themselves and learn through exploration and play, it’s calm and there’s no pressure. We love it!
