Little Folks Day Nursery & Out Of School Clubs, established in 2007, is a growing childcare provider offering a safe, affordable, and high-quality environment for children aged 3 months to 12 years. They prioritise a warm and welcoming atmosphere, fostering individualism, curiosity, and independence.
The nursery emphasises heuristic play, providing open-ended resources to stimulate imagination and creativity. They follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, tailoring activities to meet each child's unique needs and developmental pace.
Parents are actively involved in the assessment process from the outset. Highly qualified staff, ranging from NVQ Level 2/3 to Early Years Teacher qualifications, are dedicated to providing the best start in life for young children.
Little Folks integrates outdoor learning into its curriculum, encouraging children to play outside in all weather conditions to promote physical development, health, and environmental awareness. The nursery focuses on the three characteristics of effective learning: playing and exploring, active learning, and creating and thinking critically, alongside the seven areas of learning outlined in the EYFS framework.
The key person system ensures individualised support and allows children to explore and choose activities freely while being challenged by staff. The organisation is committed to being an innovative leader in the early years sector, working collaboratively with parents to nurture confident and independent children.

They have adapted the learning environment to provide babies with greater challenge in their physical development. This includes helping them to build their confidence to travel up and down ramps and experience travelling on a variety of wheeled resources.
