About this day nursery

Apricot Day Nursery, nestled in St Neots, is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment where children can flourish through a blend of focused education and playful exploration. The nursery adheres to the Montessori approach within a comfortable, home-like atmosphere, offering a variety of activities tailored to individual interests.

They prioritise holistic development, aiming to boost confidence, independence, and school readiness through their 'Next Stop School' programme. The nursery operates across two sites, with a separate pre-school setting just a short walk away for when children are ready for the next stage of their learning journey.

They emphasise outdoor learning with age-appropriate play areas for each of their three rooms, encouraging children to engage with the natural world regardless of the weather. Apricot Day Nursery also prides itself on transparent communication with parents, providing verbal updates and digital reports through a parent app, and ensuring each child has a dedicated key person.

We would highly recommend Little Green Rascals Flaxton. We have recently joined the nursery and are first time parents. The team are kind, helpful and really supportive in answering any questions you have, plus providing clear guidance and helpful links to wider information. The settle in days are a great way for both you and your baby to get used to nursery. The team go the extra mile hosting parent and grandparent days, sports days, alongside themed charity days. The nursery is friendly, stimulating and what sets it apart is the amazing outside facilities for your little ones to grow and develop. Lastly we cannot forget Terry and the delicious food he creates. A huge thank you to the whole team for making us so welcome!!

I've worked with the team at Little Green Rascals Flaxton for over 8 years to capture their children's portraits. I'm always blown away with the setting which is not only beautiful for the children's portraits but a calming and nuturing environment in which the little ones can learn, explore and play. The on-site Forest School is a wonderful resource which has been thoughtfully curated with even its own fire pit for making hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows on cooler days. The team at Flaxton are fantastic and are a real credit to the nursery. Highly recommended!

We recently moved into the area which meant that our Son was in the middle of a Pre-school year and having left his old friends at his previous Pre-school was having to settle into a new house a new area and a new Pre-school. He couldn't have been happier from the start and felt welcomed and happy in the new environment and loved the fantastic areas LGR Flaxton has for the children to play and interact in. The staff have been wonderful and helped immensely in ensuring our Son was welcomed and settled in quickly, whilst fully understanding the potential challenges he was facing with the move. He particularly loves the outdoor areas and comes home each day happy, having clearly embraced (literally) every single bit of the outdoor areas. Highly recommend.
