Areas to develop
Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents say the staff are 'caring and understanding, our children thrive in their care'.
Other parents are particularly pleased with the communication they receive from the management team, and say the school-readiness programme has 'boosted their children's confidence'.
Inclusion & environment
The arrangements to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are strong. Staff are skilled at identifying areas of potential delay in children's learning. Leaders provide support to staff and work alongside parents and other professionals to create individual plans for children. They have an excellent knowledge of children and understand the support they need, which helps them to minimise gaps in their learning.
Staff carefully prepare the indoor and outdoor environments for children to play, explore and practise their skills. They develop their understanding of the world as they access extra-curricular activities, such as rugby tots, and use the growing area in the garden. Children also have access to a forest school and staff regularly take them on the minibus.
What a wonderful nursery! Every time I walk into this nursery I feel so lucky to have found such a great environment for my child. The staff are so nurturing and caring. They go above and beyond and my child is so excited to spend their day with them. As an added bonus he enjoys taking part in mini Kixx, science lessons and yoga. We are welcomed on a morning by the lovely Nick in the carpark and the management team in the office. I can even grab a coffee to go and a piece of fruit on my way out. Thank you for making nursery an easy transition.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been at Tadcaster Road LGR now for two years and we've had a great experience throughout. The staff are fantastic with the children, they are so warm and welcoming each morning and she absolutely loves going into nursery, even after the Christmas break. The facilities are great and she really enjoys the large outdoor space. There's also such a wide variety of activities available to the children. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the nursery to anyone.
Read on GoogleOur family has been with Little Green Rascals for around four years - first with our daughter and now with our son - and we couldn't recommend it more highly. The staff are wonderful; so many long-term members who are exactly the kind of people you'd want to stay, and any new staff quickly feel like part of the family. The child-centred care is top-notch. Our daughter left confident and ready for school, and our son is thriving in Busy Bumblebees after starting in Wiggly Worms. The Forest School is brilliant, and both kids love the extra activities like Science Tots, Mini Kicks, Baby Band, and French. The food is fantastic, the facilities are excellent, and we've always felt our children were safe, happy, and valued. Nick in the car park and Karen on the front desk make every day that bit easier. Exactly what I need as a busy, often stressed, parent! A truly nurturing, inspiring place - thank you, LGR!
