About this day nursery

Little Market Day Nursery and After School Club has been operating as a comprehensive wraparound childcare service since 2011, evolving from a childminding business. In 2013, the setting expanded its premises at the Wykeham Centre, allowing for dedicated rooms for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and an after-school club.

The nursery's philosophy centres on creating a loving, supportive, and secure environment where each child's individual talents are encouraged to flourish through engaging play and exploration. Each room is thoughtfully designed to provide a stimulating, safe, and comfortable space, offering both child-initiated and adult-led activities.

The nursery prides itself on catering to each child's unique learning pace and needs. For older children, the After School Club provides a safe and stimulating play provision in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, operating from two locations: Wykeham Hall and Concordia Academy.

The club offers both breakfast and after-school care, with staff undergoing thorough safety checks and holding valid Enhanced DBS Certificates and Paediatric First Aid certifications.

Our ethos

Our approach to childcare is simple; we provide a loving, nurturing and safe environment filled with warmth and promise, where each child’s unique talents are encouraged to flourish through play and exploration. Each room is designed to ensure that children can explore and learn in a stimulated, safe and comfortable environment, where they can choose their own activities and enjoy adult led activities. We take pride in meeting each child’s individual needs, as we understand that all children learn differently and at their own pace.
