Little Minnows Nursery, located in a charming Georgian house on Lemon Street in Truro, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 3 months to five years. This independent, family-run nursery prioritises a 'home from home' atmosphere where children can flourish through play and guided discovery.

The bright and spacious indoor areas are thoughtfully decorated and equipped with age-appropriate resources, while an expansive, securely enclosed garden provides opportunities for outdoor exploration and learning, regardless of the weather. The nursery emphasises healthy eating, with all snacks and meals freshly prepared daily by their chef using locally sourced, nutritious ingredients.

Parents are kept informed of their child's progress through the EyLog App. Little Minnows operates for 51 weeks a year, closing only for Christmas and Bank Holidays, and provides full-time and part-time care, with various session options available.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) make good progress. Staff are well supported by the special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinator, who implements successful strategies for children's learning and development. Parents of children with SEND feedback positively about the care their children receive.

Outdoor space

Children of all ages enjoy lots of time to explore outdoors. Older children develop core strength and agility, as they balance on low beams or play on a tyre swing hanging from a tree. Staff support children to take time to reflect and relax in quiet areas outdoors.

All of the staff at Little Minnows are so welcoming. Little Minnows is a fantastic setting, providing high quality care for our little one. Their communication is fantastic and they provide great opportunities for our little one on a daily basis. We would recommend Little minnows to anyone looking for a caring, setting that feels like a second home for your child.
