Little Oaks Nursery, situated in Acomb within the Acomb First School, provides exceptional early years education for children aged 2-4 years old. Established to serve the local pre-school community, the nursery now welcomes children from a wider area thanks to its outstanding reputation and dedicated team of highly trained practitioners.

The nursery is committed to offering a safe, stimulating, and welcoming environment where each child is valued. Children benefit from unique outdoor learning experiences and exciting explorations within the beautiful setting, which includes access to a school yard, a large field with a wild area, pond, orchard, hammocks, and a log cabin.

The surrounding picturesque farmland and wooded copse are also utilised for forest school sessions. The nursery maintains a high staff-to-child ratio, with 1:5 for children over 3 years old and 1:4 for those under 3.

Cooked midday meals are available from the school canteen, and snacks and drinks are provided for a termly fee. Little Oaks Nursery prides itself on keeping fees low while maintaining high standards, ensuring all children have the best start in life.

The nursery has been Ofsted Outstanding since 2008 and was last inspected in 2016.

Pricing & funding

This nursery charges different rates based on age groups, with specific pricing for age two and age three plus. Fees are structured around individual sessions, including breakfast and after-school clubs, alongside standard three-hour morning or afternoon sessions.
