Little Rainbows Nursery operates two early years settings: one all-year-round in Whitby and a term-time provision in the village of Ruswarp. The nursery is dedicated to providing a nurturing, family-focused environment where children can play, learn, and explore.
They aim to create a secure, warm, and welcoming atmosphere in purpose-built childcare facilities, always prioritising the needs of each child. Little Rainbows is a family-run business with a team of experienced and passionate staff committed to supporting all families.
They believe in making the admission process as smooth as possible, offering various sessions and government-funded spaces. The nursery also provides settling-in visits to help children and parents familiarise themselves with the staff and environment, ensuring a comfortable transition.

Inclusion & environment
Staff work closely with other professionals to ensure that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive the support they need and that they are working towards the same goals.
Outdoors, older children recognise numerals and how they should be written correctly. Staff play games, such as hopscotch, and practise counting with children as they play hide and seek. Leaders have plans to further develop the outdoor area to ensure children can access a full curriculum outside.
My son is almost 3 and has been attending Little Rainbows since he was 10 months old. He loves both of the settings and he absolutely adores the staff. Couldn’t be happier with our choice to send him here, we love it 🌈
