Wouldn’t recommend this nursery. On the first day my child started she came home with a scratch and they couldn’t tell me how she did it, they lost her water bottle also, I gave them two days to find it and it didn’t turn up. The second day my child attended, she came home soaked in urine, they fetched her and gave her to me like that, mind you they put her coat on too so how they didn’t see it is terrible. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and upon my child supposedly returning after Christmas, they thought it would be great to not communicate that she wasn’t suppose to attend a few weeks before and never gave information correctly. On the week she was supposed to return, they kept on giving excuses as to why my child should attend another nursery, at first it was the hours, they tried to tell me what days and hours suited me when I made it clear I was fine with her current hours. After I stressed that I was ok with the hours, they came up with another excuse that my second child couldn’t join because they had no spaces left. The whole experience was unprofessional and communication with parents is terrible. I will also make it a point that my child was the only black child in a predominantly white and Asian nursery so I’m not really surprised at the experience we received. Will never send my child to another little scallywags again which is a shame because the one in Hodge Hill was ok. I’ve always been nervous to put my children in nursery and this was the longest she’s been in a nursery and I regret it. I’ve worked in care before so I know how people are treated hence why I was hesitant. I personally wouldn’t dream of treating anyone’s child the way mine was. A real shame.
