The latest Ofsted inspection, on 27th June 2022, rated the nursery as 'Good' overall. Children at Little Tinkers have a great start to their education, feeling content and safe, and benefiting from positive interactions with staff that build strong relationships.
Children play outdoors daily, developing their knowledge of the natural world through activities like visiting the local park. Babies have their own dedicated outdoor space, designed to meet their specific needs.
The curriculum fosters learning about growth and healthy foods, with children planting their own vegetables and visiting a local fruit farm. Staff have high expectations for all children, contributing to their expanding knowledge and skills.
Older children explore the wider world through activities such as French lessons, and staff effectively support children's communication and language development. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive good support from a knowledgeable SENDCo who actively seeks resources for children.
Additional adults are provided to support children with SEND, helping them to achieve their best progress. The nursery also prepares children for school through initiatives like providing school uniforms to try on and inviting teachers to visit.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. The knowledgeable special educational needs and/or disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) has an excellent understanding of her role. She is proactive and resilient in sourcing support for children. Additional adults support children with SEND which helps them to make the best progress they are capable of.
