About this day nursery

Little Wellies Nursery in Idle is located within a beautiful detached stone edifice, surrounded by its own secure, walled garden. The nursery is conveniently situated approximately five minutes from Idle village centre and near the Leeds/Bradford main road.

The facility, established in 2020, prioritises a dynamic and engaging environment where children are encouraged to learn through child-led, in-the-moment discovery. The nursery offers a vast array of resources, substantial outdoor areas, and an interactive sensory cabin for all age groups.

Little Wellies in Idle is truly an exceptional nursery. From the moment you walk through the door, every single staff member greets you with the warmest hello, making you instantly feel welcome and reassured. Their kindness, patience, and genuine love for the children shine through in everything they do. Our daughter has been surrounded by cuddles, comfort, and constant encouragement since her very first day. The team creates such a nurturing, joyful environment that she absolutely adore; as parents, that means everything. It’s clear they go above and beyond to make every child feel safe, supported, and celebrated. A special mention has to go to Megan, our daughters key worker. The bond she has built with her is just beautiful. Megans care, attentiveness, and the way she supports and guides has helped our little girl flourish in the most incredible way! Little Wellies is a truly wonderful nursery, and we feel so lucky to have found a place filled with such dedicated, caring, and amazing staff. We couldn’t recommend it enough.

Our daughter has been attending since she was 7.5 months old and is now 2.5, and she has absolutely thrived. She learns so much each day and comes home excited to tell us everything she’s done. Her imagination runs wild thanks to the amazing activities they provide. All the staff are so lovely, friendly and approachable, and they genuinely care. We’ve always felt so supported. Our little boy starts next week, and based on our experience with our daughter, we know he’ll be in the best hands too. Couldn’t recommend Little Wellies enough

My daughter has been at little wellies for just over 2 years now. I am so grateful for the care and support she has received all the way through her journey and so glad we chose little wellies! From helping her settle despite her separation anxiety as a little raindrop to supporting her with learning and friendships now she has moved up to sunbeams it’s a really caring supportive environment where I feel like all the children are embraced as they are. The staff are friendly and informative at handover and are always willing to answer any questions I have had. My daughter comes home talking about her teachers and friends and the great days she is having. I would recommend little wellies without hesitation!

From the moment I first enquired about getting my son's name down during my pregnancy, I knew Little Wellies was the right place. The whole team immediately gave off the most lovely, genuine family feel, which has been consistent throughout our entire experience. They have been absolutely amazing, particularly when it came to making the transition back to work as easy as it possibly could be. As a parent who had spent the whole first year with my little boy, I was understandably nervous, but the staff here ensured he was surrounded by comfort and cuddles every step of the way. I truly couldn't have asked for anything more. My son has settled in brilliantly! The proof is in his behavior: he now waves goodbye, sits happily for his breakfast, and barely gives his dad a backward glance when he drops him off. Thank you so much to the entire Raindrops team (Especially Aimee, Georgia and Megan who have been there from the beginning) for making what is often one of the hardest things a parent and child go through significantly easier than it could have been.
