Mansbridge Community Pre-School, situated in Southampton, SO18 2LX, caters to children from 2 years old, expanding its age range to include infants aged 3 months to 5 years from September 2026. The pre-school operates during term time, offering flexible session options including morning, afternoon, and full-day care with an additional lunch session.
A key aspect of their provision is their acceptance of various government-funded schemes, such as 15 hours for 3 and 4-year-olds and the 30-hour working parent entitlement, alongside two-year-old funding for eligible families. They also provide non-funded sessions for those requiring additional childcare.
The pre-school emphasises a focus on children's development through engaging activities and encourages independence, even suggesting practical clothing choices for messy play. Operating hours are set to extend from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with plans for further expansion to 7:45 AM - 5:30 PM from September 2025, accommodating earlier drop-offs and later pickups.
