Medua Bilingual Nursery, established in 2017, is a childcare setting for children aged 1 to 4 years located in Welling, Kent. 30pm with both morning and afternoon sessions, and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm, the nursery offers a flexible 'mixed' term-time status.
The nursery actively supports children's physical development through daily access to its outdoor play area and trips to local parks, while also teaching good hygiene practices. Practitioners greet children in both English and French, fostering a bilingual environment that aids in language development from an early age.
The nursery has a strong understanding of children's development, including identifying special educational needs and working with parents and other professionals for timely referrals. Leaders and staff have shown significant improvement since their last inspection, working with the local authority to enhance practices, particularly in managing children's behaviour, and have established a calm environment where staff effectively support learning.
While the setting is good at fostering communication and language development, it needs to further strengthen its mathematics curriculum and encourage children's problem-solving skills and independence.
