Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff promptly identify and support children who need extra help. They work closely with other professionals, colleagues and parents to provide that help, and they regularly review and adjust activities to suit the children attending. This ensures that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are included, and it provides opportunities for the most able learners to excel.

Outdoor space

Staff provide a lot of outdoor learning opportunities, which children relish. In addition to activities such as reading and observing nature, children have opportunities to develop their physical strength and coordination through active play.

Our little boy spent 3.5 years at Moniques Montessori and we couldnt be happier with the care and education he received there. It was like a second home to him and prepared him so well for 'big school'. We are so grateful to all the staff who made it such a great experience and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

My daughter is currently at Monique's and my son (now in Y1) also used to attend. I couln't be happier with the level of care they offer. The staff is fully committed to the wellbeing of the children, and I have seen both my son and my daughter develop their confidence and learn initial social skills. My daughter is more of an introvert and she took a few weeks to settle in; during this time I felt fully supported by the staff who took it slowly and respected her needs. She now goes in with a big smile on her face and, when at home, always talks to us about her new friends. And my son is always happy to do the pick up with me as, even after a few years, he loves catching up with the staff! I couldn't recommend Monique's enough - it's a fantastic, nurturing enviroment with a high level of expertise and yet a comforting family feeling.

A wonderful nursery with kind and thoughtful staff who care about your child's well-being, mental and social developments and embrace the Montessori philosophy, including learning through play. Our little boy loves it at Monique's. Every day he has a good dose of fun, healthy food, fresh air, and a solid nap. Lucky boy!
