The nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 21st June 2022. Children here develop strong bonds with staff, who provide comfort, especially for younger children.
Older children are encouraged to be enthusiastic and make choices about their activities, often engaging in imaginative play such as shopping or hairdressing, indicating a curriculum centred around their interests. Staff actively support children's problem-solving skills, and parents consistently report that their children are happy and making good progress.
The Special Educational Needs Coordinator works closely with parents and the local authority, ensuring a suitable learning environment for all children. This includes gathering initial information from parents to identify starting points and working as a team to support speech development, helping children build vocabulary and progress well.
Outdoor learning is also a key feature, with children eagerly anticipating adventures in the garden, using sand timers to promote sharing of equipment and responsibility. Leaders and staff are also aware of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on socialising, speech, and language development, and actively provide opportunities to address these areas within the daily routine.
Parents receive regular updates about their child's learning and development from their dedicated key person.

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator works closely with parents and the local authority to provide a suitable learning environment. Staff gather relevant information from parents when children start to identify starting points and next steps. They work as a team to support speech development, encouraging children to use single, then simple sentences and follow increasingly complicated instructions, which helps children build vocabulary and make good progress.
While outside, children eagerly anticipate the next part of an adventure as they run to different parts of the garden with their friends. Sand timers are used to help them organise and take responsibility for sharing equipment.
