About this day nursery

My Nursery in Margate provides care and education for children from two to four years old. The setting operates on weekdays from 8am to 6pm and follows the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. It accepts government funding for eligible two, three, and four-year-olds. Ofsted inspected the day nursery in February 2022 and gave it an overall rating of 'Good'.

The inspector found that children form strong bonds with their key person, which helps them feel safe and secure. Children's behaviour was noted as being exceptional. Staff support children to become independent by teaching them to put on their own shoes and coats. The outdoor space is used for physical activities including balancing and climbing, and older children are provided with resources to encourage their creativity and writing skills. Parents are kept informed through an online system used for sharing photos and information.

How they support every child

SEND provision

The manager has effective procedures in place to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. For example, she has secured specialist teaching support where needed to support individual children. The manager is committed to ensuring children are achieving the next steps in their learning.

Outdoor space

Staff make good use of the outdoor space to create a broad range of physical activities for children. For example, children use the outdoor area to balance, climb and negotiate space using a variety of equipment. This supports their development of gross motor skills. Children enjoy engaging in planned activities and exploring the outdoor space.
