Inclusion & environment
All children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make secure progress from their starting points. Children with SEND make good progress in their learning. Staff have plans in place to support their development. The SEND coordinator works with parents and external agencies to ensure children get the support they need.
Children risk assess the garden and have opportunities to practise self-help skills throughout the day. Older children are encouraged to independently access the bathroom and do so with confidence. For example, they practise yoga in the garden to encourage exercise and good mental health.
Language is modelled consistently across the setting. Children have effective communication skills, including those who speak English as an additional language. Dialogue between staff and children is of high quality and creates sustained shared thinking.
We've had all 3 of our children go through My Sunshine. The team have all provided a caring and nurturing environment, allowing our kids to thrive and be "school ready" by the time they graduate. You'll find happy kids and plenty of sociable parents. Very happy to recommend.
Read on GoogleI can't tell you how delighted my husband and I are with My Sunshine. There are so many excellent things about the nursery but the thing we like most is that they really care about all the children. As a result our son is happy and confident and genuinely looks forward to going to nursery. When we are at work it's incredibly comforting to know that he's being well looked after. Another thing that really stands out is the huge range of activities the children are involved in. From learning French to football and face painting, the staff are brilliant at making sure every day is fun packed. And unlike other nurseries, the teachers are all incredibly experienced. In a couple of instances staff have left only to return which shows what a lovely place it is. The menu is very varied and management take on board feedback from parents. We cannot recommend My Sunshine more highly!
Read on GoogleMy Sunshine Day has been absolutely life-changing for our children. From day one, the level of care and attention they received exceeded all our expectations. The staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child’s well-being. What stood out to us immediately was the one-on-one support provided not just by their room teachers, but by the entire management team. Everyone made the effort to get to know our children personally, which helped them feel secure, seen, and valued during their transition into the nursery. Our children took time to settle, and the staff were so patient and nurturing throughout. They created a calm, comforting environment that helped them build confidence at their own pace. Their happiness and comfort have always been the top priority, and we felt reassured every day that they were in the best possible hands. The nursery itself is beautiful—bright, welcoming, and filled with thoughtfully chosen toys and resources that encourage creativity, imagination, and independence. The rooms are clean and well-organized, making it a joy for the children to explore. What really sets this nursery apart is the variety and quality of the activities they offer. Our children have loved the sessions in music, languages, sports, arts, and even theater. These experiences have had a huge impact on their confidence, communication, and social development—and they’re always excited to share what they’ve learned each day. We've also had incredible support with potty training and language development. The staff are so experienced, consistent, and encouraging, and they kept us updated every step of the way. It's made a huge difference in how quickly and positively our children have progressed. We feel so lucky to have found this nursery. It’s more than just childcare—it’s a warm, inspiring community that puts children’s happiness and development at the heart of everything. My Sunshine Day has truly changed our children’s lives, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly to any parent.

Every day he was asking us if he is going to nursery . He love having homework witch he can bring home. He really enjoyed him self for a past 6 months when Harriet and her time take over and refurbish and change nursery for 100% better. So I will recommend this nursery for everyone.
