About this day nursery
New River Nursery, located in Wood Green in the London Borough of Haringey, was registered in 2015 and operates from ground-floor rooms within the White Hart Lane Learning Centre. The nursery provides full-day care for children aged two to four years, opening weekdays from 9am to 3pm during term time only.
It is one of two settings managed by the Wood Green Pre School Playgroup Committee. The nursery received a "Good" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 12th September 2023.
Children settle happily and engage in a variety of learning activities, including yoga sessions to practise mindfulness and self-regulation. Staff use appropriate resources, such as books, to support children in learning about emotions.
The nursery prides itself on supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with external partners and parents to create individualised curricula. They also have a mud kitchen for creative play and explore additional funding to enrich learning experiences with activities like specialist music lessons involving dance and musical activities.
The dedicated team of 11 staff members hold relevant childcare qualifications ranging from Level 2 to Level 3, and they benefit from ongoing training and strong support from management.

My experience is excellent. All of the teachers are very friendly and caring. My daughter was too shy with the teachers at the first time . But whole teacher team cared my daughter very wisely . They always motivated my daughter. My daughter learned spoken English by following the teachers and she is fluent in conversation now. School manners are known to her now.I am really grateful to new river nursery team. Best wishes for you all.

Amazing nursery with kind and caring staff! My daughter started here at the age of 2 and had an incredible experience. Now 4 years old, she still talks about the fun and varied activities she enjoyed every day. Luisa and her team create such a warm and exciting environment for the children. Thanks to the love and nurturing care she received, my daughter was confident and well-prepared for her transition to primary school this term. We are so thankful for everything this nursery has done for her. Highly recommend!

I cant recommend this nursery enough. The staff are so amazing with the children loving and caring. They have been a great support for my and my son in and outside of the nursery. The service they provide is of the standard of a high end private schooling. Luiza the nursery manager is so passionate about her job and the children. Not only does she and her stuff have a great bond with the children but parents too. I wish i found this nursery sooner.
