• Leaders create an exciting curriculum and help staff to plan activities to boost children's early literacy skills through storytelling, singing songs, and rhymes.
• Staff plan activities that help children to strengthen their small-hand muscles, such as painting outside, messy play, and rolling balls.
• Leaders set high expectations for children and staff, and the ambitious curriculum supports all children to make good progress.
• Parent partnerships are positive, with parents praising staff and communication from the nursery.
• Staff prepare children for school and teach them independence, for example, by helping them recognise their names on coat pegs and encouraging self-serving at lunch.
