They also offer a holiday club for two days a week during school holidays. The pre-school provides a happy, safe, and secure environment for children, with staff who know the children well and genuinely listen to them.
They encourage children to make choices in their play and support them in developing good listening skills and a love for books, demonstrated by enthusiastic participation in story time. The pre-school fosters a cooperative and kind environment, where children are supported to socialise, share, and take turns.
Children are confident communicators, enjoying sharing their opinions and ideas, and readily discussing their home life and recent events. The pre-school places a strong emphasis on outdoor play, where children develop physical abilities by riding wheeled toys and navigating obstacles.
Staff also focus on developing children's independence, teaching essential self-care skills like using the toilet, washing hands, and using cutlery. Healthy lifestyle choices are promoted through nutritious snacks and meals, with discussions about the importance of drinking water.
The special educational needs coordinator works closely with parents and professionals to ensure children with SEND make the best possible progress. Parents provide positive feedback, noting their children's enjoyment of the setting and receiving updates on their learning through an online app.
