How they support every child

SEND provision

For children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), sensory experiences are gradually introduced to build confidence and help them explore new textures at their own pace. Staff identify children's needs quickly and provide extra support through individual plans and small-group sessions, using techniques like labelling objects and adding simple descriptive words to build understanding.

EAL / language support

The staff place a strong focus on developing children's language and communication skills, actively supporting children learning English as an additional language by collecting words from home, reading books in different languages, and singing songs in children's home languages. They model clear speech, introduce new vocabulary, and encourage children to share their thoughts, helping children become confident communicators.

Both my boys go to Nursery on the Green and the experience has been amazing. We went there on recommendation from friends who attended the nursery over 10 years ago and it's still going strong which is great to see. The teachers have been great and both my boys have developed really well in all aspects. Highly recommended!

Nursery on the green has been nothing short of amazing and we are delighted we choose this place as our daughters first start! Meera has been very helpful and has provided so much ease and guidance from the day we inquired about the nursery to getting our daughter registered. She was helpful, flexible and very accommodating taking consideration of my request to get my daughter enrolled prior to returning back to work. The ladybirds team has been exceptionally supportive and helpful in getting our daughter settled in. She had weeks filled with tears/sceams at drop off but the staff ensured me she would settle and they would call me if she become very unsettled. I would call and do check ins and the staff has been polite and courteous in providing updates. The parentzone app is wonderful as I receive updates throughout the day on her progress with food, play time and naps. I would like to give a special thanks to the entire ladybirds teams for wholeheartedly taking my daughter in and making her feel safe and comfortable. She’s been attending for just over 2months and is now excited in the morning to go have breakfast and play at nursery! I highly recommend nursery on the green and very thankful for the kind support we have received. It’s difficult leaving your child in someone else’s care but the staff here make you feel like family! Special shoutout to Harpreet and Tamana! We appreciate everything you do for our little one 🙂

This is such a wonderful nursery. My daughter has attended NOTG for the past 2 years and we have seen such a positive impact. The staff and the care is next to none. My child has been nurtured with the so much love and care. We are going to miss the nursery so much. A special thank you to the following staff members who have just been incredible. Anusha, Bushra, Raj, Rupinder - all of the PS2 staff you have made this transition for us parents seamless. Thank you for everything- the time, the patience it does not go unnoticed. Not to forget Meera, Vicky and Dianne who have also been wonderful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you for everything. We are so grateful to every single person working at this nursery as it’s all your hard work and dedication which contributes to shaping our children’s future. You all deserve some recognition.
