Inclusion & environment
Support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is good. Staff work with other agencies and parents to review and plan the next steps for children. Leaders and managers consider children's next steps when deciding how to use additional funding. Children's individual needs are met.
The manager and the inspector carried out a joint observation during an outdoor activity. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
Our little girl has been at Nurtured for almost a year now and she absolutely loves it! Penny and her team are amazing, they really make it a safe and fun place for the children to learn and grow as individuals. Communication from the nursery via the Famly app is brilliant, couldn’t ask for more. Getting updates and pictures throughout the day is so lovely. There are so many fun things for the children to get involved with too, our little girl gets so excited to do forest school every week and recently went on a trip to the theatre! We love Nurtured @ Skelmanthorpe 💜
Read on GoogleThere are genuinely not enough words to describe how incredible Nurtured Skelmanthorpe is, but I will try! Brontë started at Nurtured at 9 months old - I was very nervous about her starting at nursery having poured my heart and soul into her care. We wanted the best for her and handing over her care three days a week initially felt quite scary. We are now 6 months into her nursery experience and the love, care and passion the entire team show her is genuinely incredible. The thought that goes into the activities they do everyday with the children is so obvious and the DAILY if not more updates I receive are one of the best parts of my day. Photos, videos and lots of information on what she has been up to and how that meets her developmental needs. Today I received 3 or 4 updates - I have friends in another local nursery who receive 1 every 3-4 weeks! She has developed so much since joining the nurtured gang; her speech, mobility, personality, social skills - all 100% aided by the work the team do. And when we pick her up, they always have a smile on their face and have lots to say. I have screenshot the updates I have received TODAY alone. Amazing xxx thank you to you all
Read on GoogleNurtured @ Skelmanthorpe is an amazing nursery! The staff are so caring and supportive, and you can tell they really love what they do. My child is always happy to go and comes home full of excitement about their day. The environment is warm, welcoming, and so well thought out. Couldn’t ask for a better place — highly recommend!
Read on GoogleWhat an amazing nursery. My little boy has flourished since he has attended. The nursery is welcoming and has great facilities. Each room is purposeful and filled with age appropriate activities. The outdoor areas are fun and engaging and the forest garden is a fantastic addition with lots of learning opportunities. My little one has developmental delays so finding a good nursery with staff who are able to understand his needs was a priority. I am so glad I chose Nurtured. Every single member of staff is warm, friendly, caring and professional. He has developed good relationships with all staff members to the point where he runs in every day, happy and excited to be there, which as a parent is incredibly important. The management team are fantastic and the SENCO has played a massive part in getting support in place to aid in my sons development. Whilst at Nurtured, my little one has developed so much and now he plays with others, his communication has come on leaps and bounds and he now takes part in all activities. The staff have made a huge difference in his life; he has quickly become a confident and bright explorer who loves to learn. Dad and I can not thank you all enough for everything you do. We never want him to leave ❤️
Read on GoogleMy little girl has attended since being 8 months old. I was extremely nervous putting my baby in childcare initially but the staff couldn't have been more welcoming and reassuring with this transition. Eleanor loves attending nursery, seeing the staff and playing with her friends. She's really coming on with her development, language and interactive skills from what she learns whilst at nursery.
