Our ethos

The ethos of Orchard is based on the belief that the best possible start a child has, right from their earliest days in our nursery, shapes their future in multiple different ways. For over 30 years, we have had a passion for building successful futures and helping to develop each one of those in our care into amazing children. Our main aim for our youngest children is to help with the transition from home to nursery, ensuring they feel safe and secure. We pride ourselves in teaching children how to learn, how to think for themselves and to have enquiring minds, seeking to ignite a passion for learning in every child that, with careful and expert nurturing, can never be extinguished.

What it's like

Children of all ages settle in quickly, separating from parents without fear and becoming familiar with daily routines. They thoroughly enjoy time in the pre-nursery, nursery and reception classes, making good overall progress in learning and development. Positive outcomes are underpinned by consistently good teaching, and children make especially rapid progress in physical, creative and writing skills.
