Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo), works closely with staff, parents, and other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Staff complete specialist training to help them recognise and plan to support children with SEND, and make strong use of puppets and picture exchange cards to support communication. Extra funding has been used to help children settle and build confidence.
Outside play is a high priority, with staff understanding the importance of providing children with space to take managed risks. Children are encouraged to try new skills, such as using large play equipment, and participate in action songs to develop physical skills.
All children, including those who speak English as an additional language, achieve their best possible outcomes.
Recently started in reception and my son loves it, All the staff we have met so far are lovely and has a great outdoor area for the kids to play. The lunch meals are all really tasty too and there is a great selection along with a salad bar (which even though my son won’t touch it’s nice to have the option).
