Our Monkey Club CIC is a childcare provider that champions a child-directed, play-based approach to early years education. They focus on nurturing each child's individual growth by providing an environment rich in experiences and opportunities for exploration and creativity.
The nursery believes that play is not just fun, but a crucial element for holistic neurological development, enhancing cognitive functions, emotional regulation, and social skills. Their curriculum is process-focused, valuing the journey of learning over specific outcomes, which fosters resilience and a love for discovery.
They aim to create a supportive space where children feel valued and encouraged to reach their full potential, ultimately preparing them to become confident, curious, and capable individuals ready for lifelong learning. They invite parents to visit their centres to witness their dynamic learning environment firsthand.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. Staff have a good level of knowledge about how children develop. They can adapt activities so all children are included. Staff also provide opportunities to develop children's sensory skills. Staff work closely with other agencies to design these opportunities for learning, helping these children to make good progress from their starting points.
Children safely explore indoors and outdoors throughout the day. They know to put on their coats when it begins to rain.
My daughter just enjoyed been in the setting, she was really shy and saying only words for a 3 years old. The practitioners put in place a 1:1 plan to help her grow independently, to build her confidence to use language now she is moving to a preschool , she is speaking in sentences, confident, brave. I definitely recommend this setting to parents
Read on GoogleMy son has been attending our monkey club since he was 10 months old and I went back to work full time. In that time the team at our monkey club have become very much a part of our family. All of the staff that have cared for my son have always been approachable of I've had any questions about how my son is doing or if I've had any worries. Myself and my husband work varied and sometimes long hours but the staff have always been flexible and understanding which has made it easier to be able to leave our son in their care. They keep him engaged all day and he always comes home to tell me about different activities he has taken part in. Whilst covid has made things different in the setting, there has always been someone to listen to concerns and ensure that the best is done for the children.
Read on GoogleOur little boy joined Our Monkey Club 6 weeks ago and has settled in amazingly. In that time he has formed beautiful bonds with a number of the girls there, especially Nicole, Melissa and Emily. We receive regular updates on what he’s been getting up to during his day with lovely pictures showing how much fun he’s having exploring and making new friends. We also receive updates on everything from how much he has eaten to when he’s had a nappy change. We have always felt comfortable and confident that we are leaving our little boy in the best hands.
Read on GoogleI highly recommend Our Monkey Club, from the moment my two-year-old daughter started attending, she settled in seamlessly, which was a pleasant surprise considering her previous difficulties with childminders. As full-time working parents, we greatly appreciate the nursery's flexibility and support regarding our required hours. The staff maintains excellent communication throughout the day, providing us with photos and regular updates that keep us connected and reassured. The dedication and care from the staff are truly praiseworthy. They have created a nurturing and enjoyable environment where my daughter wakes up every day excited to go to nursery. The support I received during the potty training process was invaluable; I couldn't have accomplished it without them. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff at Belvedere Road branch. Your commitment and fantastic work are truly appreciated.
Read on GoogleMy daughter started at Our Monkey club around 4 weeks ago and it has been the best decision I have made. I went to look around quite a few nurseries and I was just really impressed with what I saw at OMC. The staff are so welcoming and warming towards my daughter. I feel the app they use is brilliant to keep me updated on what my daughter has been doing during her sessions and it is lovely to see her engaged in so many different areas of the nursery. I would highly recommend OMC to anyone looking for a nursery.
