Partou Kids Corner Day Nursery & Pre-School, located in Sandbach, is set in a charming converted Victorian building, just half a mile from the town centre. It boasts original features like patterned flooring and old workhouse bells, fostering a sense of curiosity.
The nursery offers large, light-filled rooms with high ceilings and big windows that promote a stimulating environment for early years learning and creativity. Children can freely explore various areas, including reading corners, home corners, and a dedicated creative room.
The nursery emphasises extensive outdoor play, surrounded by nature, including views of cows and sheep in nearby fields. Their "child-led learning philosophy" is central, with activities tailored to each child's interests.
A newly renovated outdoor learning space allows children to engage with growing herbs and vegetables, teaching them about food origins, refining fine motor skills, and fostering a connection with nature. A sensory room with different lights, textures, and relaxing sounds aids exploration, relaxation, and emotional regulation, also hosting monthly yoga sessions led by a trained instructor.
The nursery also celebrates staff achievements, such as their Deputy Manager receiving "Deputy Nursery Manager of the Year" at the National NMT Nursery Awards. With a strong focus on building self-confidence and providing a fun learning atmosphere, Partou Kids Corner offers a unique and supportive environment for children to flourish.
Our ethos
The Partou child-led learning philosophy is incredibly strong at this early years setting with nursery team carefully developing learning activities in line with children’s interests and experiences outside nursery life.

Inclusion & environment
The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is excellent. Early identification and external support means that these children get the support that they need. Gaps in learning close and children with SEND make good progress.
The outdoor area is a hub of excitement and adventure where staff encourage children to participate in ring games, play hide and seek, sing songs, and cheer friends on during races. Children show excellent physical dexterity while using climbing apparatus, encouraged by staff to build assault courses.
I would love to share our positive experience with Brody's time at the nursery. We were initially very anxious about Brody starting, but from day one, he has absolutely loved going. The staff are absolutely amazing, and it's clear from the way they interact with both parents and children that they genuinely enjoy their jobs. This has made us feel very comfortable dropping Brody off at each session, knowing he is well looked after. Since starting nursery, Brody has made significant progress, and we believe this is partly due to the fundamental skills he is learning there. We are truly grateful for the wonderful environment you provide. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
