How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff work closely with external teachers and health professionals to provide excellent support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They work in partnership to put in place carefully planned targets to help children to work towards their development goals. Staff learn British Sign Language to support children with their communication skills. Consequently, children with SEND become happy and confident learners in this inclusive nursery.

Outdoor space

Older children squeal in delight as they play chasing games with each other and the adults who work with them in the nursery garden. They laugh and giggle as they run and climb trees under the supervision of staff. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact on children's learning.

My son has been attending Ladybirds since June this year and he seems to have settled in really well and seems so happy when I watch him play without him knowing I’m there. His key worker is just amazing with him which makes him feel comfortable when I drop him off as are other members of staff. I’ve always found Ladybirds very accommodating in terms of extra days when required usually at short notice. Yes the nursery requires updating in places which I believe has already commenced in the garden area. The main thing is the children are safe and happy.

My daughter has been going here for just over a year and she loves it! The staff are wonderful and made the process of starting nursery so much easier for both myself and my little girl. I have complete confidence in the staff and it is clear how much my daughter enjoys her days at nursery. She has also come on in leaps and bounds since attending; the staff really take care of each child's needs. I 100% recommend Ladybirds

Great nursery. Both of our children have been here, the staff are so welcoming and lovely, they feel like part of the family. Couldn't be happier with Ladybirds, both children have thoroughly enjoyed their time there. We love it!

My son used to go to a different nursery and his old nursery wanted to refer him as he wasn’t speaking. He’s been going to Ladybirds for 5 months and he’s like a different child. He’s talking more, singing and has turned into a confident little boy who loves going to nursery.
