About this day nursery

Pilgrims Way Pre-School, established in 2017, offers a welcoming and engaging environment for children aged 2 to 3 years old. 30pm, Monday to Friday, the pre-school actively plans activities to reflect children's interests and helps them to recall and embed new knowledge.

The Ofsted report, dated 13/05/2025, rated the pre-school as 'Good' in all areas, highlighting the warm relationships staff form with children and the effective support for individual needs. Children are encouraged to explore both indoors and outdoors, including the school grounds and a meadow, broadening their understanding of seasonal changes and observing wildlife.

The curriculum approach is based on overarching themes, such as life cycles, to build on children's existing knowledge. A significant strength is the extensive support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), with staff using specialised software and implementing personalised strategies.

Partnership with external agencies is strong, and parents are sensitively guided through referral processes. The setting also provides organised enrichment activities with a visiting professional to enhance children's physical abilities.

The best place ever happened to both my children. The team which is led by Mrs Karen is a great example of how little kids should be looked after. Never seen anyone caring and taking as it's your own child. They are very friendly loving and caring. The support my son has received in the past 2 years is way beyond what I could only imagine. Let me tell you something every time I drop my children there I know 1000% that they cared for and loved and they have fun. Thank you to all the amazing team there and I recommend it with my heart and my soul!
