When needed, care routines are adapted sensitively for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to ensure they feel safe and secure. Staff plan next steps that are challenging and appropriate for every child with SEND, ensuring teaching is matched to their individual needs and helps them gain the skills for starting school. Leaders use funding to benefit children who need extra help and liaise closely with other professionals to ensure children receive the support they need.
Outdoor space
The nursery makes excellent use of its countryside location, with recent developments to the outdoor area significantly increasing the variety and scope of learning that takes place outdoors. Children enjoy fresh air daily, engaging in activities like digging in the sand, playing in the water tray, climbing, and exploring for minibeasts in the field.

My grandchild has been attending Puddle Ducks since September and l am delighted we found it. This is no ordinary nursery, it's a cut above and the staff are very friendly and professional. The premises is spotless and very well equipped with plenty to keep the children stimulated both inside and out, and plenty of staff on hand to tend to their needs. It's in a lovely location within easy reach of the A21 making it easy and convenient for me to drop off and collect. Wishing them all the very best of luck with this new venture, highly recommended.

We have nothing but positive things to say about Puddle Ducks. The staff are professional, attentive, and genuinely engaged with the children. They strike a good balance between providing structure and allowing kids the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace. The nursery environment is clean, well-organised, and thoughtfully set up with age-appropriate activities that constantly change and make the most of the season. My children have made steady progress and it’s clear that the team puts real effort into planning meaningful activities rather than just keeping the children busy. Communication with parents has been consistent and helpful. We receive daily updates about my child’s day, development, and any concerns, which makes it easy to stay involved. Puddle Ducks has been reliable, well-managed, and a genuinely supportive place for our children. We’re pleased with our experience and would confidently recommend it to other families.

Puddle ducks is a fantastic nursery, located on a lovely farm site. The care and attention the staff give my kids is second to none. My children have settled in so well due to the welcoming atmosphere, varied and engaging activities planned each day. Good communication either on pickup or on the app they use is timely and informative. Highly recommended.

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery, the practitioners are so kind, friendly and caring and have the most wonderful bond with my daughter. They always go above and beyond for her and are brilliant at managing her allergies. My daughter loves the activities set up by the nursery and I have seen her learn and develop massively in her short time at nursery. There is nowhere else I would rather send my daughter to, the most brilliant setting with amazing activities and resources for the children.

Cannot recommend this nursery enough they opened in September 2025 my little boy i wasn't sure how it'd go due to him being a mummys boy but he settled in great all the staff are amazing with him. Get regular updates through the day absolutely an amazing nursery he comes home so happy after his days at nursery ❤️
