Affiliated with a company promoting children's physical activity, the nursery places a strong emphasis on developing physical skills. Children have daily access to soft-play and gymnastic equipment, as well as large spaces for ride-on toys, music, and movement.
Daily local walks and visits to shops on the same site immerse children in the community. The staff are dedicated to fostering independent, confident learners, and children quickly settle into the nurturing environment, demonstrating good behaviour supported by the use of emotion cards and visual timetables.
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive effective support from knowledgeable staff who identify needs early, suggest home strategies for families, and collaboratively make referrals to external agencies. Parents express high satisfaction with the support, guidance, and progress their children make at Rainbows Day Care and Gateway to FMA, which received an overall "Good" rating from Ofsted on 21/05/2025.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are given the support they need to make rapid progress. Staff are knowledgeable about typical child development and quickly identify where any additional support is required. Staff offer support to the whole family by suggesting strategies to implement at home and make referrals collaboratively to outside agencies where necessary.
The nursery provides large spaces for children to use ride-on equipment and take part in music and movement. Children also go on local walks every day, accessing the local community and visiting shops on the same site.
