Rauceby Pre-School is a welcoming village-based setting for children aged between 2 and 5 years old. Located in Rauceby Village Hall, it provides a spacious environment for children to learn and develop, complemented by a dedicated outdoor area with a covered decking, allowing for outdoor play in all weather conditions.
The staff are highly experienced and fully trained in early years development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). They are committed to creating a nurturing space that fosters children's learning and growth.
The pre-school aims to be accessible to all members of the community, adhering to an equal opportunities framework in its admissions policy, which is regularly reviewed. They prioritise making their provision widely known and accessible, including providing information in various formats and languages where appropriate.
Flexible attendance is considered to accommodate family needs, though weekly attendance is generally expected. Rauceby Pre-School is registered with Ofsted, allowing eligible parents to claim Child Tax Credit and utilise various childcare voucher schemes.
They also accept government funding for eligible children, aligning with local authority guidelines for early years provision.

Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported. The special educational needs coordinator liaises with parents about children's care and learning needs. Staff refer children to other agencies for specialist support. Children benefit from targeted support plans to help close gaps in their learning.
Children enjoy the time they spend outside. They confidently use small tools and show good hand-to-eye coordination as they dig and make sandcastles in the sand tray. Children develop their coordination skills further as they manoeuvre ride-on cars and bicycles and confidently climb the outdoor climbing frame.
