Roosters Day Nursery, established in 1997, provides childcare for children aged 0-4 years. 30pm, for 51 weeks of the year, the nursery offers an all-year provision.

The latest Ofsted inspection, on 12th September 2023, rated the nursery as 'Good' in overall effectiveness, quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Children are noted to be extremely happy and form strong bonds with staff, who provide comfort when children are unsettled.

The learning environment, both indoors and outdoors, encourages children of all ages to explore freely, with babies learning to walk and older children engaging in imaginative play. Staff act as positive role models, consistently managing behaviour and supporting children in understanding expectations.

The curriculum is comprehensive, covering all areas of learning, and staff have high ambitions for every child. The nursery makes good progress in supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by gathering and sharing information with parents and other professionals to develop tailored plans.

SEND provision

This ensures that all children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), make good progress in their learning. Where concerns are raised, staff gather and share information with parents and other professionals. They use this information to help develop plans for those children. This process ensures that children with SEND receive the timely and specialist help they require.

The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
