Inclusion & environment
The nursery manager and staff tailor the curriculum to meet the individual needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The support in place for children with SEND is excellent, with staff understanding the importance of early identification, intervention, and working with external agencies. Additional funding is carefully spent on resources to ensure children with SEND make optimum progress and flourish at the nursery.
Staff provide experiences for children that they may not get at home, such as opportunities for fresh air and physical activity for children without a garden. Children enjoy spending time building dens and completing obstacles in the nursery forest school, benefiting from many opportunities to develop their small and large muscles.
