Saddleworth Stars, located in Oldham, was established in 2014 as a childcare on non-domestic premises setting. 30am to 6pm, providing full day care for children aged 0 to 4.

The nursery is exceptionally well-regarded, having achieved an "Outstanding" rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 15th May 2025 – a rating it also held during its previous inspection in July 2019. The dedicated team of 19 childcare staff, many with high-level qualifications, prioritises creating a nurturing environment where children thrive emotionally and develop strong attachments.

The carefully designed, ambitious curriculum, delivered by highly skilled staff, ensures children are continuously learning and developing new knowledge and skills. Parents can be confident that their children will engage in a wide range of challenging and engaging activities, both indoors and in the expertly designed large outdoor environment, which fosters excellent physical well-being.

The setting also provides government-funded childcare.

My girl started at the nursery at 11 months and we have had a very good experience so far (she has just turned 2 and moved to Big Stars). The staff are very friendly and keep us well informed. It’s so precious to see my little one running to hug her favourite carers at drop off and see a big smile at pick up :)

Saddleworth Stars nursery really is OUTSTANDING, the staff go above and beyond for each other as well as the families and children. My little boy started when he was just 6months old and as a first time parent was very anxious with him starting so young however the staff really did put me at ease with regular updates through tapestry and on handovers. The staff helped him settle really quick with going to great extents of learning all about him e.g. his home life,family and routine and followed his routine at home at nursery during his settling period. The staff have great communication with daily updates of their food,sleep etc.. and the weekly observations of activities and interests he shows. I can't thank all the team enough for there hard work and for helping my child and me feel apart of the Stars family

They've been amazing with my eldest from when he was 10 months to now at 3 years old. He always skips into nursery and absolutely loves all the staff who've always been so helpful.

My first born started here a while back and as you can imagine with your first you worry, the staff have been brilliant, inform us of every little detail from the room leaders who I'd say go above and beyond, especially recently on our first parents evening, all the information on development and how we can help was passed on so I can only say brilliant things and would highly recommend to anyone
