Inclusion & environment
Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, develop their communication and language skills. Staff use images, words and gestures and provide narratives and new words to extend vocabulary. Staff provide children with additional support to close any gaps, working collaboratively with parents and other professionals as required.
Children benefit from plenty of opportunities outdoors that promote their curiosity and exploration, such as the 'construction site' in the tepee tent, the mud kitchen and activities to find out about the natural world. They develop their physical skills, such as riding scooters around the circuit in the garden and using a variety of media and materials to create artwork.
I cannot recommend Seesaw Nursery highly enough! Both of my children have attended, one has now moved on to school and another started when they were one year old and has grown through the different rooms with various key workers and is starting school in September. Every single member of staff has been wonderful. The bonds they build with the children are truly special you can see how much they genuinely care and are invested in each child’s happiness and development. The staff's passion for early years education shines through in everything they do, from the engaging activities to the way they encourage the children to thrive socially, emotionally, and intellectually. Walking in, it has a lovely, homely feel. The staff are so welcoming, and the environment is nurturing. It’s clear they treat every child as an individual and take the time to understand their unique needs and personalities. I am so grateful to the entire team for the care, kindness, and enthusiasm they’ve shown my children over the years. Thank you, Seesaw for giving them such a strong and positive start!
Read on GoogleMy first daughter attended here and absolutely loved it, she really thrived. The staff are lovely and friendly, and we loved the homely feel. My second daughter started in September and is also doing really well. The manager has been exceptional and my daughter is so happy to be handed over to her.
Read on GoogleAmazing nursery , my 2 older children went to seesaw2 nursery many years ago, and when I had my youngest daughter I wanted her to go to a place I trust , the girls that looked after my other 2 children had moved across to seesaw 1 nursery on wingfield road , so it's a no brainer that's where she was going to go . I looked around the nursery before hand to be sure and the manager was very welcoming and very easy to talk to , all my worries and anxiety's about even sending my daughter to nursery were talked through and I was put at ease . The girls that work at the nursery look after my daughter as if she was their own , they are loving , caring and very nurturing, which is exactly what I wanted for my child . Knowing that if she's upset , she will be cuddled and made to feel better . She took a while to settle down, but this is because of her own separation anxiety's , she now asks every day if she can go to nursery , even on the weekends . She has learnt so much in such a short time and is full of confidence . I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else , and I will be extremely sad when it comes to her time to leave .
Read on GoogleBoth of my children have attended and still attend this nursery and it is brilliant. The staff are friendly, the environment is relaxed, and you really get the sense that everyone cares about you and your children. Both of my children settled in quickly, which was due to the attention received from the nursery staff, and I have always felt welcome there. In the years that my children have attended, I have never once seen anything to complain about. Excellant nursery. x
