Seesaw Nursery is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children in Trowbridge. They offer care for children from birth to four years old, with an emphasis on enriched learning experiences that extend beyond the nursery walls, including trips to local attractions like the fire station and farm.
The nursery operates for 50 weeks a year, closing for one week at Christmas and one week at Easter, and offers a flexible approach to attendance during school holidays. Seesaw also caters to school-aged children with a dedicated holiday club.
The nursery prioritises parental contributions for consumables to ensure high-quality care and activities, acknowledging its importance in providing a well-rounded curriculum. They also offer support and guidance to parents regarding various government funding schemes for childcare.
What it's like
Children come into the nursery happily and settle quickly. Staff are warm and nurturing in their interactions with children, which makes children feel valued and secure. Staff get to know children and their interests well and plan activities that build on what children already know and can do.
Charges are structured on an hourly basis for children aged 0 to 4 years, with a separate rate for the holiday club. Meals are billed individually, and a separate consumable charge is applied per half-day or full-day session to cover snacks, sundries, and enrichment activities.

Parents are complimentary about the staff and how they get to know their children's individual needs.
Inclusion & environment
Staff work with parents and other professionals to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They put plans in place to support children to access the curriculum and make progress in their development.
Older children enjoy being outdoors. There are a variety of activities on offer for children outside, but the layout of the activities and outdoor space does not give children many opportunities for physical exertion.
We have been part of the SeeSaw2 community for almost 5 Years now and I can not praise this nursery enough. My first child, a natural worrier, needed extra love and care when she started going due to her anxiety’s. Not only were all the staff accomdating, but they did everything they could to make her feel welcome. After a few months, I could see the difference in her, in and out of nursery. Confidence was blooming and she had made special friendships with not only the other children there, but also the staff. Our journey continued with our second child, and despite a couple staff changes over the years, the whole atmosphere and ethos of the nursery is loving, caring and FUN! All the staff are wonderful. My children love them all. (Particular mention for Maz, who has been there for years and is the most wonderful lady you could entrust the care of your children with). Each child is made to feel special by all the staff. All the children have such a wonderful time. SeeSaw2 is like home from home. It’s a smaller nursery compared to others which will suit many children. And they offer the service of breakfast / afterschool club whixh can help once they transition into Reception should you need all day care. I can’t recomend them enough!!
Read on GoogleI have been sending my children to seesaw 2 over the last 7 years and highly recommend. There is a family atmosphere within the nursery which gave my little guys a real sense of security. All carers are very friendly and happy to answer any questions you have. A secure environment that focuses on children's needs and development.
Read on GoogleOur son Corey is 16 months and has been going to See Saw 2 since he was 6 months! He loves it! The staff are ALL amazing and really helped my wife return to work without the worry of whether Corey would be in good hands! It's a real homely environment and we wouldn't change it for the world! Thank you SeeSaw2
Read on GoogleMy daughter has settled in very quickly at this nursery and she loves attending. We potty trained earlier than normal and the nursery were able to accommodate the moving of my daughter from the babies room to tiny tots. I’d highly recommend this nursery, the manager and staff are lovely.
