Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well through a thoughtful, individualised approach. Additional funding is used effectively to enhance their learning experiences, including targeted resources and support. Children also benefit from access to a sensory room, which provides a peaceful space to regulate their emotions, particularly when they are feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated.
Children have daily opportunities to explore the outdoor area, which offers a rich and stimulating environment. They enthusiastically use spades to dig in the large sandpit and ride on trikes, helping to develop their core strength and coordination.
Absolutely love seesaws. Wouldn't go anywhere else. I feel they know my child just as well as me if not more! My little one has had tantrums at drop off and they always know how to soothe him. They respect all our wishes and wants and ensure that what ever we do at home they will follow at nursery. My little one loves the staff members and often has to bring in a book or a toy to show them or the other kids there. I love getting updates about him and what he does on their app. They have two great outdoor play areas, serve a wide variety of food during meal times, and host get togethers at the nursery such as mother's day and summer fayres. This is great as I feel it creates a community and I love meeting the parents of my little one's friends. The nursery is always clean, I feel my child is safe there, and the end of the day feedback lets me know that he is thoroughly looked after. I could write so much more, cannot fault Seesaws or it's staff. It's gonna be awful when my little one starts school and we have to say goodbye. At least we can always attend the clubs they have on when it's not term time!
Read on GoogleA fantastic nursery! As I'm sure all moms are I'm very particular with the environment my child will be in. This was the third nursery I viewed (I picked 3 and this one just happened to be the last one). It ticked all the boxes the other nurseries didn't and the staff have been great from the get go! Their communication is spot on and if I call during the day it's never a problem for them to locate the relevant person I need to speak with or they will get them to call me back and they actually do! I love their weekly updates of the activities they have been doing and they will explain how to continue what they have been working on - at home. Every member of staff I see always greets me with a welcoming smile which is nice to see at 8am in the morning!
Read on GoogleChose this nursery for my specials needs Daughter who has Down Syndrome. As a first time mom everything is worrying, so the thought of her being in school and how shed get on was a big worry. Choosing Seesaws (merridale rd) was the best thing I could have done for her to start off this big important chapter at Toddlers group. All the staff are out of this world, the support I get from them with eveything and anything is incredible. To see how far shes come and developed is absolutley amazing and truly heartwarming, my mind is always at peace when shes there . Her little brother has also started his journey at the baby room and has created some really close bonds with the staff, which is amazing and he's always happy to go there. His development also has come along massivley in such a short period of time, Sometimes I can't believe my eyes and ears. Whatever the staff are doing, they are doing an absolutley amazing job. I honestly can't thank everyone at Seesaws enough. My daughter will definitely miss eveyone when she's off to reception this year, as her preschool journey is now coming to an end, wish I could move all the staff with her as a big package. Thank you all for the never ending support, advice, care and for just being you!
