How they support every child

SEND provision

Children are supported well, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Managers and staff work with parents and external agencies effectively, which helps to ensure the best possible support is in place for all children.

Outdoor space

Staff have enhanced learning outdoors by providing more opportunities for children to develop their gross motor skills through the use of an obstacle course.

EAL / language support

Children who speak English as an additional language are well supported. Staff use key words from children's home languages and use them alongside English words. This allows for children to understand adults' instructions and to build vocabulary in both languages.

As first-time parents, we were a bit nervous about enrolling our child at a nursery. We visited a few different nurseries in the area, but some of them were a bit run down and smelled a bit off. But when we got to Speckles Day Nursery, we were so glad we chose it! It felt like home, and it was really well-kept. And the best part? It smells amazing! The staff and manager are absolutely wonderful people who have always taken great care of our little one. She loves going to the nursery in the morning and is always smiling when we pick her up. She absolutely adores it! She’s also shown some amazing signs of development, like her vocabulary has grown a lot, she can now play nicely with other kids, and she’s doing really well in all her classes. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent in the area. It’s a great place for your child to grow and learn.

Speckles is fantastic! My daughters love being there. The staff are a great combination of fun, experience and extremely caring. The premises is spacious and modern. I have no hesitation in recommending Speckles to any parent looking for high quality, safe and affordable child care.

This nursery is absolutely the best. My son loves it so much. Staff look after him so well and take extra care as he is asthmatic, and they are always in touch with us about our son's condition. They do lots of activities that involve both the child and the parents. My son comes home really happy after nursery. Will 100% recommend it to any parents looking for a good and lovely nursery!

My daugther start this nursery in october when she was only 9 mounth old. First I was a bit scared leave her there. But after days I noticed she really enjoyed spending time with staff members and another children. And from day one I dont have any problem with staff. They are very friendly professionals and super friendly. My daughter love to stay there. They have full days of activity. Also I am always informed if my daughter been emotionaly,or not eating well,or got temperature. Always good communication. 👍

My son has been attending the setting since September and from his first day he loved it the staff are so lovely and friendly. I feel that my son is well looked after by all staff members and management. He has achieved so much in all areas especially his confidence and speech. I looked around various different nurseries in the area but I didn't get the same feeling of reassurance that I got from Speckles. I am so glad I found this nursery and would definitely recommend if you want the BEST care for your child/children.
