St Laurence Nursery is a family-operated childcare facility dedicated to fostering a stimulating and welcoming atmosphere for all children. With a history stretching back to 2000, the nursery has become a cornerstone of the Long Eaton community, emphasising strong local ties and a supportive environment for families navigating the early years.

St Laurence offers flexible service options to cater to diverse family requirements. They have specific programmes tailored for different age groups: 'Playgroup' for two-year-olds, 'Rising 3's' for children reaching three, and a 'Preschool class' for the final year before primary school, all designed to encourage learning through play, song, and creative activities, and building strong relationships with local schools.

Inclusion & environment
Staff make good use of communication tools to help support children who require extra help. For example, children who speak English as an additional language can access picture cards to make requests while they develop their vocabulary.
Staff ensure children's favourite toys and activities are available, both indoors and outdoors, while children are settling at the setting. Staff promote children's good health and encourage children to be physically active by engaging in ball games and constructing obstacle courses outdoors.
This nursery is outstanding! In every way, I have had no doubts my daughter is safe and well taken care of. They go above and beyond for your child and for the parents. If you are worried about leaving your child in others hands, with these that worry will go! My daughter loves her teachers so much she calls them her friends! So I just know she is getting such good care here. I am sad we have to leave due to a move. I can't recommend a better nursery. The nursery speaks for themselves!
Read on GoogleThis nursery is absolutely amazing. We sadly had to move from them as we had a house move in a different city, I have since tried to get my daughter into a new nursery and not one of them found here compared to this one. Wish I could still send her here. Absolutely brilliant staff! My daughter still ask about them even after meeting new ones!
Read on GoogleWonderful nursery and great staff. My son started here 3 months ago. He has gone from not saying a word to counting to ten, knows his colours and started learning the alphabet. Definitely chose the right place. CAn not thank them enough for all their support they’ve given us while settling in
Read on GoogleMy son has been attending this nursery since January 2013. He was shy little boy to start with and wouldn't talk to anyone (including the staff) for at least 5/6 months, he now a very confident and independent young boy with a huge circle of friends and enjoys his time here. All the ladies that work here are lovely and are always on hand to offer any help
Read on GoogleMy daughter started attending here in November and has come along so well, even during the dreaded potty training. Really lovely attentive staff and my daughter is always happy to go and never wants to come home!!
