Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Where children's development is lower than expected for their age, staff work closely with parents to find ways to help them catch up. Staff know children's individual needs and what skills they are working on, using this knowledge to engage them in meaningful learning. Staff collect information from parents when children first begin, to help with planning for their individual needs.

Outdoor space

Older children benefit from studying and learning about nature, visiting a separate pond area under staff's supervision. Children enjoy sitting at tables under a sheltered area in the garden to draw and experiment with sensory play materials. Children spend lots of time playing and learning outside, which gives them space and time to practise physical skills, balance and coordination, and also follows other aspects of the curriculum which are well planned for both indoors and outdoors.

From my very first visit, I was really impressed with StayNPlay. It’s bright, clean, and full of activities for all ages, with great provisions for babies as they grow and develop. The staff are always welcoming, friendly, and quick to respond to any questions. I love that they share regular updates and photos of what my daughter’s been up to — it’s lovely to see her enjoying her day and trying new things. She’s always happy to go in each morning, which says it all! I’m really pleased with the care and environment the nursery provides, and I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great nursery.

A lovely well equipped nursery. Owned by husband and wife and not a big chain. The best garden I have seen in an early years setting. There is always something being updated or built for the children - being outdoors and with nature is really encouraged. There is so much for the children to do. My eldest daughter was one of the first children to attend stay’n’play and it’s been lovely to see it grow into an established nursery. Very flexible in terms of no set sessions and having a holiday club for older children. Any issues we have raised have been dealt with quickly and resolved. Learning is thoroughly encouraged and my daughter is always doing different themed activities. Have had plenty of communication via the app and staff are always quick to send pictures of my child settled if we’ve had a difficult drop off. All of the management have been such a support to our family and it was nice to know our child was happy and enjoying their time there whilst going through a hard time as a family.

StaynPlay is a wonderful nursery. Both my children have attended the nursery with my oldest being one of the first children to start. She absoulty loved coming to the nursery and grew so much in confidence. The staff made her feel so welcome and she couldn't wait to tell me about all the exciting activities she did throughout her day. It was sad when it was time for her to leave StaynPlay ready to start school however she was given all the confidence and skills ready for the next stage in her education. The environment is outstanding the owners work hard to constantly update the resouces. My youngest currently attends and loves coming to nursery. The staff and management are very friendly and welcoming. I am always kept updated on my child's day and receive lovely observations supporting her development. They have wonderful activities set up each day linking to different themes. I highly recommend StaynPlay.

I’m just looking through the reviews and I’m a bit flabbergasted by what some people have written. We’ve seen both of our children go to this nursery, with our eldest starting when they very first opened and I can safely say the nursery has been outstanding from day one. We were toured around other nursery’s within the area and this was the only one that gave us a ‘family atmosphere’ and this feeling hasn’t changed 4 years on from when we first walked in! The owners are amazing and it’s clear to see that the nursery is their pride and joy, and that they put everything into ensuring the children have a fun experience, whether it be Easter, Halloween or Christmas, all seasons are made so much fun for the children! Our children have absolutely loved their time at Stay n Play and I wouldn’t ever recommend anywhere else for people to use as a nursery! Some people unfortunately just like to be negative for the sake of being negative! 5 stars everytime!!!

My child attends this nursery and leaves each session with a big smile on their face. I sometimes struggle to get them to leave as they're so happy. We receive a long observation each month which updates us on my child's development. We also receive multiple updates throughout the rest of the month which show them interacting with group activities. The staff are so lovely, professional and and are so caring towards the children. The management are friendly and approachable which makes all the difference. I highly recommend Stay n Play!
