Operating from a purpose-built Victorian school that has been modernised and extended, the pre-school provides a familiar setting that aids children's transition to primary school, especially as it serves as a feeder to Dr Radcliffe's Primary School.

We also have outstanding procedures for managing times of transition, such as settling children into the pre-school.

What it's like

Children develop warm, caring and nurturing relationships with staff. Staff adapt the environment and activities to ease children's transition, and children respond to staff's high expectations for their behaviour. Children have well-developed independence skills, keen to serve their own snack and show off their 'magic trick' for putting on coats.
