Parents are highly complimentary of this 'home-from-home' nursery.
Parents report that their children are safe and have become confident and independent since attending the nursery.
Inclusion & environment
Younger children enjoy making marks with water outside, which helps to prepare them for early writing. Older children demonstrate good problem-solving techniques as they transport stones to other areas of the garden, and reenact stories outside, hiding from the 'big bad wolf'.
My eldest came to Stepping stones a few years ago and we were just as happy with it then as we are now with my youngest who currently attends. It has always felt like a ‘home from home’ setting which is what initially attracted me to this nursery. Both my girls have thrived here and that is due to the wide range of experiences they receive daily here along with the staff who support and nurture them. My little girl absolutely loves outdoor play so we are loving the 2 new refurbished gardens!
Read on GoogleMy little boy loves it here at Steppingstones SH, he has been in since he was just 10 months old. He is such a live wire and very energetic to say the least but the staff could not be more accommodating (or love his cheeky smile) any more than they already do. He has made some beautiful friendships too which I hope will grow as they do and as they move on into Primary school next year.
Read on GoogleI am so pleased with the service and support from Stepping Stones staff at the nursery my key highlights so far; 1. The initial settling in process was remarkable, my little boy settled in so well and there was such a big difference in settling here (his 2nd nursery, due to location). 2. They have been accommodating with dietary preferences and requirements. 3. They were extremely supportive in the potty training process and provided me notes for advice and tips to help support the process which allowed me to potty train him in 48hours. 4. The transition from toddler to pre school was very good as he was unsettled at first going in with bigger kids but he soon felt happy and comfortable with his new surroundings and is learning more weekly. 5. They have been accommodating in me increasing his hours slowly in this last year before starting school. 6. Finally the staff are all kind, caring and supporting which is exactly what is needed for your child. My only recommendation is for more photos to be shared on the Facebook group or via an app, it is nice to see our little ones happy and in action. Thank you ☺️
Read on GoogleMy little boy loves going to Stepping Stones. He enjoys spending time with the key workers and loves the toddler garden - especially now it’s been refurbished. The menu is brilliant and he’s even learning sign language.
Read on GoogleMy daughter has been at Stepping Stones since March. We were due to start in the January but due to the lockdown, I decided to postpone Mollies place until her brother was also back at school. Jenny went out of her way to show us around the nursery once all staff and children had gone home so that we could see the room Mollie would be in and mollie had the chance to see the room herself. Due to covid, settle in sessions were very different but I felt so happy and comfortable that Mollie would be comforted and looked after whilst settling in. Since the first day, it has been very clear how happy Mollie has been in the toddler room and with all of the staff, she has looked forward to going to nursery every week and has grown in confidence. I would especially like to thank Gemma, mollies key worker, who has really made sure both of us have been happy from day one and has had a great relationship with Mollie. I would highly recommend Stepping Stones and can't thank all of the girls for making sure Mollie has been happy every day and I have been able to go off to work with confidence - especially after so much time at home and lockdowns.
