Inclusion & environment
The support in place for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is excellent. Leaders understand the importance of early identification, intervention and working with external agencies. They ensure that children with SEND get the support they need. This means that children with SEND flourish at this high-quality nursery.
Babies skilfully pull themselves up onto low-level equipment and show great determination while using play equipment outdoors. Older children relish taking part in ring games and assault courses. They show excellent coordination while using climbing apparatus.
After watching program on nurseries that are causing harm and particularly one mentioned in Stockport, I’ve been reminded of our experience with Stockport village day nursery. Our son went here from age 2 and a half - three. Nursery looks good on paper and seemed nice when visiting. He cried his eyes out as soon as we turned on the car park - not initially - but after going for a month or so he was distraught to realise he was returning there. As a parent it broke my heart knowing I had to leave him here I never had this feeling in any other setting we’ve been involved with. Our son had a speech delay (so couldn’t tell us what was happening) and additional needs which we were unaware of at the time - in my gut I knew something bad was happening behind closed doors. We moved him on as soon as possible to nursery at the school he is in now and have not had the same issues here. I won’t say anything about particular staff members but the ones I remember are also mentioned on other negative reviews. Overall a bad experience for us all and I was relieved to get my son out of here. Parents trust your gut, and trust your children’s responses to settings. Would not recommend.
Read on GoogleA lovely nursery with a fantastic team of staff - I couldn’t have asked for a better supportive environment for our daughter. It’s hard sending your child into daycare full time but I’m comforted by the fact that the team are the very best and have her well-being as their top priority. They have lovely engaging rooms, plenty of activities, pets and they go to town for events! I just loving seeing her running into nursery in the morning excited to see her key workers and friends.
Read on GoogleGreat nursery! From our first visit we were struck by how lovely and bright the nursery is and how welcoming it felt. The staff are so friendly and caring and I feel confident leaving our daughter in their care. Would definitely recommend to other parents.
Read on GoogleWe are really happy with this nursery, from the beginning Lindsey made us feel welcome and the rest of the staff offer a friendly, caring approach to looking after my daughter. My daughter is always happy to be dropped, also she enjoys the daily activities. I highly recommend the nursery is an excellent first experience for my little girl.
Read on GoogleAfter going and viewing multiple nurseries to place my then 9 month old and 2 year old into, Stockport Village Nursery was the one for us, it was a home away from home with an incredible baby room overloaded with lots of sensory! And an incredible nursery room for my little boy with lots of engagement. All of the team deserve recognition for the incredible work they do! The transition into the nursery setting for my two year old was one I was extremely anxious about, having visited that was eased instantly after being shown around by Lyndsey and meeting Janie. My little girl is happy, content and hitting every milestone thanks to the team in the baby room, I have to give Lisa the mention she deserves, you can see the love that our little one has for her each time we drop off and pick up. My little boy wasn’t hitting milestones and struggling with his social development with limited language, he’s come on massively since May thanks to the team that work with him. He took an instant attachment to Michelle and she has been incredible with him. I would recommend to anyone who wants a safe and nurturing environment for your child to attend but lots of fun at the same time. The personal approach they adopt every time you pick up to give you a full download of your child’s day and what they’ve been up to, how they’ve eaten and so much more by the same member of the team that works directly with your child is to us the bestest part, it helps you feel part of their day when your spending time away working. Thanks for all your hard work, best team and best nursery in the area! 😃
