Sunnydale Nursery is a distinctive childcare establishment situated in a rural area of Mansfield Woodhouse, offering services for children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, including before and after school and holiday care. Sunnydale Nursery is committed to providing a 'home from home' environment where children can develop love, kindness, and resilience. The facility, originally a rundown barn, was converted by co-owner Gavin Bull, a property developer.

They offer various attendance options, including full-time, part-time, and government-funded hours, and prioritise current families for transitions.

Inclusion & environment
How they support every child
SEND provision
Children who have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) have special plans with their learning aims broken down into achievable steps for them to practise and build on over time. This approach has proved highly successful for children with SEND. Staff have taken on lead roles and are accessing specialised training to support them, including attending special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) training to deepen their knowledge of the role, the responsibilities and legislation governing work with children with SEND.
Outdoor space
Outdoor play and learning are central to the effective curriculum devised by leaders and staff. Older children independently climb up onto tyres and then confidently jump off. The inspector assessed the quality of education indoors and outdoors and assessed the impact it was having on children's learning, and carried out a joint observation of a spontaneous activity in the forest school area.

My boy is 3 years old and has been coming here since he was 8 months, he loves it. The staff are great, caring, interactive and on the ball. They do a great range of activities with the children helping them develop to the best that they can. I have another 3 month old son and will be sending him here too. Thank you for all your hard work over the years ladies

Absolutely beautiful setting, staff are caring and have nutured 3 of my children, none of them wanted to leave. Completely alleviates the guilt of going back to work knowing they're so well looked after and having so much fun at all ages from baby to after school club
