Sunrise Early Years and Childcare, established in 2011, offers high-quality childcare and education with a strong family-centred philosophy. Under the leadership of Mrs. Gladys Baah-Okyere, the nursery has continuously improved, earning a "Good" rating from Ofsted in January 2019.

Sunrise is dedicated to fostering the growth and development of every child, regardless of their background, by providing exceptional care and education within a welcoming environment. The nursery aims to help children become happy, independent, healthy, creative, friendly, and confident individuals.

Our ethos

Sunrise Early Years and Childcare centres its practice around a family-centred philosophy, aiming to foster the growth and development of every child and help them become happy, independent, healthy, creative, friendly and confident individuals. The nursery also aims to support parents through "a helping hand, a listening ear and a caring arm".

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those in receipt of additional funding, make good progress from their initial starting points. Links with other professionals and agencies are well established; for example, staff share children's progress with specialists to develop targeted support for children with delays in their language.

Outdoor space

Children relish playing outdoors and get plenty of fresh air and exercise. Children develop their physical skills and enjoy the variety of the outdoor play equipment and activities.

My son has been at sunrise for about 18 months and he loves it. The staff are caring, chilled and supportive of the child and parents. They make an effort to celebrate various festivals and give parents the opportunity to meet and create community.

My 7 month old daughter just started at this nursery and they’ve been fantastic! The process of settling in worked very well, they keep you thoroughly informed about your little one and are always warm and welcoming! Would recommend!

This nursery is amazing and the person inside them are amazing too my son stay only one month but always was like is home Thank you from all my heart I will recommend for mothers in need very welcome and worm personal . The price is also very convenient.
