Tamba Day Nursery Chadwell Heath, established in 2014 and located in Romford, provides full-day care for children aged one to four years, operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm all year round. The nursery is situated in Chadwell Heath, within the London Borough of Redbridge, and caters to 84 children with a total capacity of 90.
The dedicated team of 16 staff, with 13 holding early years qualifications from level 3 to level 6, ensures a calm and supportive atmosphere where children feel secure and comfortable. Staff maintain high expectations for children's behaviour, leading to good conduct and fostering confidence and responsiveness among the children and with staff.
The nursery offers stimulating learning experiences, including sensory play with play dough to develop fine motor skills and creative thinking. Children eagerly participate in exciting activities like circle time, sharing ideas, singing songs such as the morning welcome song, and learning about days of the week and months of the year.
The nursery effectively utilises additional funding, such as the early years pupil premium, to enhance learning and close achievement gaps, ensuring all children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, make good progress. The provision also focuses on physical development with opportunities for climbing, running, and ball play, and supports parents through home learning bags and regular communication.

The nursery provides regular updates through out the day, it is nice to see pictures of children/ what they have been up to 🥰 I highly recommend this nursery to other families, we are happy with the care our daughter receives. Thank you for everything you do Team Tamba! ♥️
Read on GoogleMy son started attending this nursery three months ago, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and professional. They made the transition very smooth for my child. We really appreciate the warm and welcoming environment, as well as the variety of activities offered. Our son is thriving, learning new things, and seems genuinely happy and comfortable there. Communication with parents is excellent too, we always feel informed and involved. Highly recommend this nursery to any parents looking for a safe, nurturing, and stimulating place for their little ones!
Read on GoogleMy daughter and son have both been at this nursery. My daughter has recently graduated from Tamba and I'm honestly sad to say goodbye to all the staff and her key workers. They have always been so kind and supportive with our children. We started our journey with Ms Noreen who completely put us at ease and ended with Ms Sofia, Ms Georgia and Ms Nana- they have been so caring and kind. My daughter has always woken up every morning excited to go into nursery. The nursery communicate throughout the day with the blossom app and send photos where possible. My daughter has had a range of great hands-on learning experiences including arts and crafts, trips out and dress up days. We have had a wonderful time with Tamba and I couldn't recommend them enough. Thank you so much for giving our children a great start to their learning!
Read on GoogleMy son was in the preschool room at Tamba (Chadwell Heath) and his time has now come to an end as he will be starting Reception in Sept25. We are saddened to be leaving and will miss the staff at Tamba, especially Miss Kayla who was my son's key worker. Without fail Miss Kayla greeted us with smiles and energy which was invaluable especially during difficult mornings. She, like many of the staff, are caring and make the effort to get to know the children on an individual basis. I'm sure everyone knew my son's love of dinosaurs! Thanks to Miss Kayla and the preschool team, I feel my son is in the best position to be starting school as they focused, without pressure, on school readiness. I felt like we were a team in helping my son thrive. I do recommend this nursery and will be using them again for my daughter. Thanks Tamba!
