Children enjoy their time at the pre-school, feel safe and secure, and form close bonds with staff. The inspector noted that staff implement the curriculum effectively and provide successful support for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those learning English as an additional language.

Children use the outdoor area to develop large physical skills, including balancing and steering bikes. Parents commented to the inspector that their children love attending and make very good progress.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support all children's learning successfully, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Children who need extra help in their learning receive effective support, including children with SEND. Staff work closely with relevant professionals and parents to provide a consistent approach and implement successful strategies to meet children's individual learning needs, such as leading small-group activities and using visual pictures.

Outdoor space

Children persevere at tasks, such as when putting on their coats and gloves to go outside. They develop their large physical skills, including balancing and learning to pedal and steer bikes safely along a 'road'. Staff understand that these physical activities develop children's muscles, control and coordination, which contributes to their future writing skills.

EAL / language support

Children who need extra help in their learning receive effective support. This includes children with SEND and those learning English as an additional language. Staff work closely with relevant professionals and parents to provide a consistent approach.
